Apple is pushing Mac App Store as the delivery mechanism of Mac apps, and major publisher Adobe has made its first offering on the Mac App Store with Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 Editor.
Photoshop Elements 9 Editor is a scaled down version of separately available Photoshop Elements 9 for the Mac. Priced at $79.99, Photoshop Elements 9 Editor drops the Organizer functionality and is $20 cheaper than the full version. Photoshop Elements 9 Editor contains the same editing tools as the full version and is build as a companion to iPhoto.

Adobe has released Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 for both Mac & Windows. Both are popular consumer oriented and more affordable version of Adobe’s photo-editing Adobe Photoshop and video-editing Adobe Premiere. This is the first time Premiere Elements is appearing on the Mac platform.
“For the first time, both Windows and Mac users can do more with their photos and video with Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 bundle – a unified solution for all photo and video needs,” said Kevin Connor, vice president of product management for Digital Imaging, Adobe. “With industry-leading products like Photoshop and Premiere Pro in the family, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements are uniquely positioned to leverage the technology the pros use. Our goal is to deliver our customers intelligent and accessible features that do all the heavy lifting, empowering them to easily share high-impact memories with friends and family.”

Adobe has updated its Photoshop Express iPhone app with a native iPad interface, making this free app a universal binary that runs on both iPhone and iPad.
Photoshop Express is the mobile client for Photoshop.com portal, Adobe’s answer to Flickr. Photoshop.com is heavily Flash based, making Photoshop Express a must have if you are using the image portal.
