Google Updates Chrome With 30% Faster Javascript Engine

Google released [an update to its Chrome web browser](http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/put-pedal-to-metal-with-faster-google.html) yesterday. It includes a Javascript engine that is 30% faster than previous version, and useful ‘new’ features such as form autofill and full screen mode.

Google does not numbered Chrome version. This should be like a beta 2 version. Only Google can release an incomplete software (as compared with other browsers) and still attract users.

But wait, there is no Google Chrome for Mac yet. It is available only on Windows, even after almost nine months since its launch last September. We encourage you not to waste your time further to find out more before its release on the Mac. Google Chrome has its strong features and we can see it being competitive when it is ready. But not right now. It is unfortunate that Google is promoting the software in its infancy, position what we see as a developer/tester software to the mainstream as replacement for your day-to-day Safari and Firefox.
