Steve Jobs to present WWDC keynote Monday June 6 on Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5 and iCloud

Apple has issued a press release announcing that Steve Jobs will be presenting the keynote come this Monday June 6 at WWDC. Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5 and iCloud (the follow-up to MobileMe) will be detailed. All three products are rumored to debut on WWDC and Apple silenced the rumor mill in one clean stroke. This is a rare move by Apple PR to announce yet unreleased products, especially iCloud. If your MobileMe account has just expired, it’s best to wait for any iCloud announcement next week. Many are hopeful that some part of iCloud will be offered free.

Apple® CEO Steve Jobs and a team of Apple executives will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address on Monday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. At the keynote, Apple will unveil its next generation software – Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS® X; iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system which powers the iPad®, iPhone® and iPod touch®; and iCloud®, Apple’s upcoming cloud services offering.
