Apple kills off 17 inch MacBook Pro, Mac Pro gets an update, AirPort Express has a new look and dual-band Wi-Fi

Outside of the keynote, Apple has quietly killed off the 17-inch MacBook Pro. This end of line is not unexpected as rumor about its cancellation has been circulated for months.

Those looking at a new Mac Pro might be disappointed as well. Apple has refreshed its top of the line Mac with minor CPU updates. There is no update in base design such as build-in Thunderbolt and USB3 ports.

The $99 AirPort Express also gets a new look and now supports simultaneous dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi.

The star hardware of the keynote is undoubtedly the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Fully loaded including AppleCare, this new MacBook Pro will set you back $4098.
