With the release of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion today, Apple has updated several of its Mac apps to be compatible with the new OS. Here are the list:
- OS X Server, which is an add-on on top of OS X, is updated to be compatible with Mountain Lion. And the price is dropped from $49 down to just $19.90.
- Pages, Numbers and Keynotes are updated for OS X Mountain Lion with the support of iCloud documents, dictation feature in Mountain Lion and Retina Display.
- iPhoto and iMovie are updated for OS X Mountain Lion.
- Aperture 3.3.2 is updated to be compatible with OS X Mountain Lion.
- XCode 4.4 is released with the support of development for OS X Mountain Lion apps.
- Safari 6 that is part of OS X Mountain Lion, is released for OS X Lion. Safari 6 includes a smart search field, offline Reading List, improved password management etc features.
- Apple Remote Desktop is updated for Mountain Lion.
Apple has also updated its iOS apps iTunes U and Podcasts after the release of OS X Mountain Lion. It is not clear if these are OS X Mountain Lion compatible release.
