Apple has officially sent out invites to the media for its iPhone focus event on September 10. The place will be at Apple Campus in Cupertino at 10 AM PT.
As has been widely rumoured for the past weeks, Apple is expected to unveil iPhone 5S, the successor to iPhone 5. iPhone 5S is expected to sports improved processor, higher spec camera, a new champagne colour option and possibly a finger print sensor on the home button.
And for the first time since iPhone’s introduction, Apple is likely to unveil a second iPhone model: a lower cost iPhone 5C with plastic back. This rumour is more or less confirmed by the invite, which features the phrase “This should brighten everyone’s day.” together with multicoloured dots graphic.
The launch date for new iPhone is expected to be around September 20. This is also the date when Apple will release iOS 7 to the public. Besides the unveiling of new iPhones and iOS 7, Apple might take the opportunity to announce the next iPad and/or iPad mini. We also expect Apple to confirm in the same event the release date for OS X Mavericks, Mac Pro, iTunes Radio and iWork for iCloud.
