It is a prevalent practice for websites to track your browsing activities so that they can deliver targeted content or ads to you. Safari and Chrome for iOS comes with setting to enable “Do Not Track” (DNT), in which the browser will send a DNT request each time it fetches content from a website.
However this DNT is simply a request, and it is up to the website you’re visiting whether or not to honor it. Irregardless of its effectiveness, enable DTN are just few simple steps in Safari and Chrome for iOS.
For Safari, go to Settings app > Safari and then switch on “Do Not Track”. This setting takes effect immediately.
For Chrome, tap on the Chrome menu on the toolbar and select Settings. Go to Privacy > ‘Do Not Track’ to turn on the DNT switch.
