Hide unwanted system preference panes in OS X

It is possible to hide any preference panes in System Preferences without uninstalling them, this includes default system preference panes.

Hide unwanted system preference panes in OS X

Go to View menu of System Preferences, and select Customize. A checkbox will appear next to each of the preference pane icons. Uncheck the tick box to hide the ones you don’t regularly use. Click the “Done” button to save changes.

This customisation feature only hide the icons from System Preferences. You still can access those hidden preference panes via View menu or by right-clicking on the System Preferences icon in the dock.
