One major redesigned user interface element in iOS 7 is the flatten of button to tappable text, akin to link text that you see on a web page. This change makes for a cleaner look but to some the text-only design made it harder to determine on what and where is tappable.
The recently release iOS 7.1 comes with a new “Button Shapes” settings that aims to bring back the look of button as we’ve known in older iOS versions.
Go to Settings > General > Accessibility. Look for “Button Shapes” and tap to switch it on. The text buttons will now be surrounded by a darker shaded rectangle shape.
