OS X Mavericks comes with a brand new Maps app. One of our favourite feature is its ability to share a location or direction by sending the map directly to your iPhone or iPad.
To send a location or direction, first setup the map, and then click on the Share button on the toolbar.
Your iOS devices should appear as options for you to send the map to. The map should then appear as a push notification on your selected device.
A lot of Mac users have found out that their iOS devices are not appearing on the Share menu. This is more common for those who did an upgrade of OS X to Mavericks. For some, the problem is there is no push notification on their iPhone or iPad.
There is an easy fix to these problems. Simply go to System Preferences > iCloud, sign out of your iCloud account and then sign back in. These would take a couple of minutes. After which you should be able to select your iOS devices from the share menu in Maps app and receive Maps notifications on your iPhone or iPad.
