App of the week: Angry Birds

What started out as a casual game on the iPhone on December 2009 becomes a legend and a page in the history by being the most successful game in iTunes App Store. Even after more than a year on the chart, Angry Birds still hang on tightly on the top of the chart.

And the empire just keep growing with three version of the games for iOS, and version for Mac, Android, Google Chrome app store, Palm webOS, Maemo, Symbian, PSP, Windows, Windows Phone 7, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

Mighty Eagle coming to Angry Birds

Find it hard to crack some levels in Angry Birds? Sweat not as Rovio Mobile, Angry Birds developer, will introduce a new character called the Mighty Eagle to your rescue. But be prepared with some real cash as the Mighty Eagle will be available after your purchase of a can of sardines via in-app purchase.

The Mighty Eagle will give you a one-time shot at clearing an entire level. To use Mighty Eagle, simply launch the can of sardines onto the pigs and this will lure the Mighty Eagle to drop a huge bomb and destroy all fortified structure used by the pigs. The game however will not let you reuse the Mighty Eagle until you complete that level on your own.

The Mighty Eagle will be available later this fall. Stay tuned as there is no confirmed pricing and release dates for the Mighty Eagle.
